What a fireplace remodel with us includes

We reface fireplaces in stone, tile and stacked stone, extend or rebuild hearths, and build custom mantels sized to the wall rather than bought off a shelf. If the TV is going above it, we run the wiring and the mount into the design instead of leaving cables down the front.

Most fireplace remodels are a short job compared to a bathroom or a kitchen, which makes them a good place to start if you want to see how we work before handing over a bigger project.

Stone and tile surrounds

Stacked stone, natural stone and tile surrounds, built to the proportions of the wall rather than a standard kit.

Custom mantels

Floating and traditional mantels made to the right size for the room, in the timber and finish you picked.

Hearth extensions and rebuilds

Raised, extended or removed hearths, with the tile and stone carried through properly at every edge.

TV and wiring built in

If a screen is going above the fireplace, the mount and the cabling go into the design instead of down the front of the stone.

Finish & Walkthrough

We finish the details, then walk the whole job with you. Nothing is called done until you say it is, and it is warrantied for five years.

What areas do you work in?

We are an East Valley contractor and we stay in the East Valley. That means Ahwatukee, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa and Scottsdale, plus Queen Creek, Paradise Valley and Phoenix. Keeping our radius tight is how the same crew gets to your house on time every morning instead of driving across the county.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Mustache Approved Remodeling is a licensed Arizona general contractor, ROC #309760, and we are bonded, insured and BBB accredited. We are also members of the Chandler, Gilbert and Ahwatukee chambers of commerce. Ask any contractor for their ROC number before you let them touch your house.

How long will my bathroom or kitchen take?

A full bathroom is usually three to five weeks on site, and a full kitchen runs longer depending on cabinet lead times and whether walls or soffits are coming out. You get real dates before demo day, not a vague range, and you can watch the schedule move in our construction software as the job goes.

What does the estimate include?

A written, itemised scope covering labour, materials, permits and the finishes you picked, so you can see where every dollar sits. Nothing is ordered until you approve the final design, and if something changes mid-project you get it priced in writing before we do the work.

How do you waterproof a tile shower?

Every shower we build gets a full Hydro Ban waterproofing system installed and flood-tested before any tile goes on the wall. We call it the S.W.A.N. plan, short for Sleep Well At Night. It is the part of the job nobody ever sees and the part that decides whether your shower is still sound in fifteen years.

Do you offer a warranty?

Every remodel we complete carries a five-year workmanship warranty on top of whatever the manufacturers cover on their products. If something we installed is not right, we come back and put it right.

Can I finance the project?

Yes. Financing is available and plenty of our clients spread a remodel over monthly payments in the region of $250 a month rather than paying up front. We can walk you through the options at the estimate so you know what the project looks like on a monthly basis before you commit.

Who is actually in my house?

Nick runs the project and the same small crew works it through to completion, with long-standing tradespeople we have worked with for years. You are not handed off to whoever happened to be free that week, and you always know who is walking through your door.
